Freshness you can inspect.

Story dates tell you when an article was published. Source checks tell you when we last looked for updates.

The host worker runs every 15 minutes. It checks The Center Square national feed when due at 15-minute intervals, elections hourly, FEE every four hours and the Federal Reserve every six hours. Publisher feed delays and failed requests can delay pickup; this is not an instant breaking-news service. New items appear after a successful scheduled check. The shared edition API is publicly readable and is not cached. Failed sources retry less often, up to once a day, while previously collected stories remain available. A source is marked stale after twice its scheduled interval without a successful check.

Rights & attribution

The Center Square excerpts retain source attribution, original bylines and links under its republication guidelines. Federal Reserve release text is used under its public-domain policy. FEE-owned commentary excerpts are provided under CC BY 4.0, with author credit, original links and shortening disclosed. Identified third-party reprints are excluded. Publisher images are not reused. The Capitol photograph was taken by Martin Falbisoner on September 5, 2013. It is a contextual file photograph, not a photograph of the reported event. Original and provenance; CC BY-SA 3.0 license. The displayed image is resized and cropped by the layout; that presentation is offered under the same license. No endorsement is implied.

A source error means collection failed; it does not mean the publisher stopped reporting. Delayed sources remain identified here.
